WHO WE ARE
HOW WE GOT HERE
The original owners, Rob and Janet Morel, had a vision for a sustainable farm on Maui for many years and were finally able to acquire 2.3 acres in beautiful Huelo back in 2005. In 2013 they moved to the farm site permanently and soon were fortunate to be connected with Eddy Garcia of Living Earth Systems, who understood the living systems approach for restoring the earth that Rob and Janet wanted to implement. Working together on the design, Eddy brought his years of experience and know-how, while Rob and Janet provided the space and resources to create a beautiful, state-of-the-art sustainable project.
WHAT WE OFFER
The vision continues as the Maui Moon Farm Learning Center offers hands-on learning opportunities for all ages. The farm was also created to be wheelchair accessible and we are so happy to have established partnerships with various organizations for the disabled on Maui. We have a farm stand for fresh produce and products open to the community on Thursdays. Even more, we have already become a sought-after site for weddings, day retreats, special events and seminars. Our mission is to nurture and inspire a desire to restore the earth for future generations and to enjoy it for today.
